Childhood Brasil is the Brazilian branch of the World Childhood Foundation, an organization created by Her Majesty Queen Sylvia of Sweden. It has offices also in Sweden, Germany and the United States. Founded in 1999 and with its head office in São Paulo, Childhood Brasil is certified as an Organização da Sociedade Civil de Interesse Publico (OSCIP, Entity Promoter of Human Rights and a Civil Society Organization of Public Interest).
Childhood Brasil works for the protection of children, especially focusing on the issues of abuse and sexual exploitation. It acts by supporting projects in communities and developing programs both at a regional and a national level.

The actions of Childhood Brasil are summarized by three verbs:

To INFORM through campaigns that clarify the problem.

To EDUCATE by providing information to the people involved.

To PREVENT via projects that strengthen the institutions that protect at-risk children and adolescents.
“To inform to educate, to educate to prevent”. This is the motto of Childhood Brasil.
